The 2009 University of Chicago Volunteer Caucus

October 10, 2009

On September 30, 1892, President William Rainey Harper led a volunteer crew who rolled up their sleeves to ready classrooms for the University’s opening day—marked by a noon ceremony that convened the entire University community: faculty, students, trustees, and friends.

On Friday, October 9, 2009, President Robert J. Zimmer and the University Trustees will again convene the entire community to celebrate Chicago’s 500th Convocation. We hope to see you there.

Saturday, October 10, the University of Chicago Alumni Board of Governors invites alumni, friends, students, and staff from across campus to attend Volunteer Caucus, a day devoted to expanding and enhancing the University of Chicago volunteer network.  If you are a current volunteer, or wish to roll up your sleeves and join the University of Chicago volunteer network, please plan to attend.
