Alumni Board of Governors Nomination Form 2010

The Alumni Board of Governors, the voice of alumni, elects new members each April. The 30-member Board is an action-oriented, dynamic group that sets policy for the University of Chicago Alumni Association, advises the University on matters of interest to the alumni community and promotes the ongoing connection of alumni to the University and to each other. The composition of the Board ideally reflects the diversity of alumni with respect to gender, ethnicity, geographic location, degree year and degree(s) received.

 

Submitting your nomination

Please submit any additional supporting materials (nominee's resume, cover letter, etc.) to Bridget Krause by January 8, 2010.

About Alumni Board of Governors Nomination

  • Nominations for awards are due by January 8, 2010, at 5 p.m. CT.
  • Candidates should be able to commit to attending meetings twice a year in Chicago and participating on committees/task forces.
  • The Board consists of up-to 30 members.
  • Board membership is open to all geographies and degree units; ideally, Board composition reflects the diversity of the University alumni population.
  • New members are elected to a three-year, once-renewable, term that begins on July 1.
  • New members will be notified of selection after April 30.
  • All nominations and deliberations are kept confidential.
