The Matriculadies

Rebecca Stein, AB’93, has had a very strong commitment to the University of Chicago since transferring as a sophomore from the University of Kansas in 1991. During her three years at UChicago, she was active in all facets of student life, including AOII, Model United Nations, the Blackfriars theater group, and the prospective student admissions committee.

Stein has been an active Alumni Schools Committee member for close to 15 years in locations throughout the United States, including Michigan. She has interviewed Metcalf Interns and helped establish a reoccurring Metcalf at her family’s private equity firm. She is generous with her time and commitment to the University. As a member of Oriental Institute Council, Stein has supported the OI’s membership and development programs by identifying alumni who have an interest in the ancient world and personally arranging meetings to reintroduce these alumni to the OI. She served on her 15th and 20th reunion committees and actively engaged in fundraising for her class.
