Irene Mavroyannis, LLM’91, is a managing director at Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets in New York. She was previously head of North America and business development for the region at Hastings Funds Management, a global infrastructure fund manager.

Prior to this role Mavroyannis was the global product specialist for energy and infrastructure at Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. where she also previously served as the chief operating officer of KKR Capital Markets. Mavroyannis joined KKR from Citigroup Global Markets where she was a director in equity capital markets, and prior to that she was an investment banker at Morgan Stanley.

Mavroyannis has a master of laws from the University of Chicago Law School; a J.D. (magna cum laude, silver medalist) from the faculty of law, University of Ottawa; and a bachelor of social sciences, economics, and mathematics (summa cum laude, gold medalist) from the faculty of social sciences, University of Ottawa. In addition to serving on the steering committee for the New York chapter of Women’s Infrastructure Network, Mavroyannis serves on the board of directors for the London Philharmonia and has also served as a member of the Visiting Committee for the University of Chicago Law School.
