Norman C. W. Yung, AB'93

Norman C. W. Yung is the executive director, Operations & Business Development, for the Center for Health + Technology (CHeT) at the University of Rochester Medical Center. In his role, Yung oversees operations, business development and strategy in the areas of clinical research innovations (e.g., telehealth, sensors/apps, disease progression modeling), clinical operations, and material management.

Prior to CHeT, Yung has served in several business leadership roles, including the VP/GM for the Labware & Specialty Plastics business for Thermo Fisher Scientific, the chief marketing officer for Carestream Health, and VP, Global Refractive at Bausch & Lomb. He has also held management positions in the General Electric Healthcare IT business as well as for the consulting firms McKinsey & Company and Deloitte Consulting.

Yung has an AB in economics from the University of Chicago and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University. He has served as the class correspondent for 10 years, a member of the 10th- and 25th-year reunion committees, and an alumni interviewer. He and his wife have four children and live in upstate New York.
